Review: Nerf N-Strike Raider CS-35

Gain an ammo advantage against your opponents with this exciting Nerf Gun!

The Nerf Raider CS-35!

This gun is a crowd favourite among Nerf fans, and I can see why. This gun has pretty much same internals of that of a Longstrike, Recon, etc. Some people just say it's a re shelled Recon, but that's not the way I see it. It has many interesting new features that we haven't seen until the release of this gun.

The Raider is a clip-system fed blaster and uses the same plunger system found in most other clip-system guns. It is primed using a front grip that works like the grey slide found on the Recon.

One of the main factors that people buy this gun is the because of the 35-dart drum magazine. The package comes with enough foam darts to fill the magazine. This was the first time that such magazine with these capabilities was released. To have 35 shots at your own disposal before having to reload is a real advantage, in any Nerf war. Also, this is a major plus for any Nerf fans out there. The Raider's 35-shot drum magazine is compatible with any other clip-system blaster (Recon, Longstrike,  Longshot, Deploy). Also, all Nerf clips are compatible with the Raider.

Also, another big plus goes next to this gun with this next new feature. We Nerf fans, have never seen such feature available in any other Nerf gun, that has been released before this gun. Slam Fire. Slam fire is a firing mode that allows the user to fire off darts in quick succession, without having to let go off the trigger. To activate "slam fire mode" :
  1. Hold down the trigger.
  2. Pump the front grip repeatedly.
This will allow you to shoot a stream of darts at your opponent. Also, the faster that you pump the front grip, the faster you will launch bullets into the air.

The Raider's range is about 10-12 meters, which is similar to the stock ranges of a Recon or Longshot e.t.c.

The Raider is definitely a must-have gun for anyone who has close-quarter Nerf Wars, but it is also a great addition to any Nerf arsenal. With the 35-shot drum magazine, the Raider is a very powerful weapon, and should be approached with caution is any Nerf situation! :P

A few pictures will be up. Some of them will be from SG Nerf and will be labeled. Other pictures will be of my own Raider. It is modified (air restrictor removal) and the shell has been changed. More information about my Raider will be up with pictures. NERF! :D

These are some pictures of the Nerf Raider. Courtesy of SG Nerf. Enjoy!
